Stating that Turkey has come to the fore with the work it has done among NATO members, Özeken said, "We are aware that our contribution to regional and world peace will increase as we develop our national defense industry."
Özeken made the following statements in his evaluation:
"Turkey has made an important revolution in the defense industry as well as in many other fields in the last 20 years. Our investments in the vision of domestic and national production increase the brand awareness of our manufacturers, investors and industrialists on the global arena day. Until 2003, arms imports in our country were 250 times more than exports, and after 2003 There have been significant changes in favor of our arms exports. By 2020, despite all the adversities in the world, our arms exports for the first time exceeded our arms imports and our exports 1.64 times more than our imports. This is a concrete example of the fruits of localization and nationalization. Policies that have been successfully carried out in the defense industry since 2002 Turkey is one of the leading members of NATO, the world's largest defense pact. We are aware that while we develop our national defense, our contribution to industry, e and world peace will increase. At this point, as both MUSIAD and MUSIAD Defense Industry Sector Board, the development of the Turkish defense sector We are developing projects and collaborations that will increase R&D resources in a balanced way to make it work."
As part of the MUSIAD & AMAC Sectoral Cooperation Meeting program, AMAC President Brigadier General Kipling V. Kahler, who met with business people from MUSIAD, stated that it is important to be together in such organizations and that these organizations do not only play an important role. In NGOs but also in their military attachés. . In his speech, Brigadier General Kahler said, "I would like to thank MUSIAD on behalf of Ankara Military Attachés Association for giving the opportunity to meet and meet with valuable members and manufacturers of the Turkish defense industry. We look forward to the presentation of you, our esteemed manufacturers. It is very important. Therefore, as AMAC, we attach great importance to this meeting."
Brigadier General Kahler stated that military attachés should carry out not only the military representation of the countries they belong to, but also all their activities in the host country, and continued as follows:
"Such activities of MUSIAD help us get to know the manufacturers of defense industry products and thus fulfill our duty as military representative in Turkey. Today, AMAC is a large formation with 124 members. There are 122 members in Turkey, while the other 2 members are accredited by Turkey. Military attachés have more than one mission in the country they are in. We can list them as the military activity representation of their own countries, advising their ambassadors on Turkey's capabilities, and most importantly, military attachés, planning and organizing contracts for the defense industry in the host country. "The most important is the third item. Thanks to MUSIAD, we fulfill this task and organize collaborations with defense industry manufacturers. I would like to thank MUSIAD again for this."
