FOREIGN MISSION REPRESENTATIVES MEET AT THE FAST-BREAKING DINNER OF MÜSİAD

The foreign mission representatives, who serve in Turkey, met at the fast-breaking dinner program held at the Head Office of MÜSİAD. Giving a speech at the event, MÜSİAD Chairperson Mahmut Asmalı pointed out the importance of commercial diplomacy activities and said, “As MÜSİAD, we support cultural diplomacy by contributing to commercial diplomacy and the cooperation between our countries.”

At the fast-breaking dinner program held at the Head Office of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD), the ambassadors, consul generals, commercial attaches, and foreign mission representatives serving at different positions in 40 countries met MÜSİAD Chairperson Mahmut Asmalı and MÜSİAD Members of the Board of Directors. Making evaluations at the event, MÜSİAD Chairperson Mahmut Asmalı drew attention to the importance of MÜSİAD’s works in the field of commercial diplomacy. Emphasizing that MÜSİAD supported commercial and cultural diplomacy, the Chairperson Asmalı stated that MÜSİAD made a significant contribution to the cooperation between the countries through the activities it carried out.

“It is not possible to achieve economic objectives without establishing global peace”

Stating that MÜSİAD was a global non-governmental organization that directly contributed to the promoter and humanitarian foreign politics of Turkey through its international works, the Chairperson Asmalı pointed out the importance of regional and global peace to achieve economic objectives. During his evaluation, MÜSİAD Chairperson said, “It is never possible to achieve economic objectives without establishing global peace.”

The Chairperson Mahmut Asmalı added:

“MÜSİAD is a global non-governmental organization that contributes to the promoter and humanitarian foreign politics of our country through its international works and that actively applies multi-track diplomacy. We support humanitarian diplomacy by supporting the projects aimed at crisis regions and geographies having natural disasters, commercial diplomacy by developing economic relationships, and cultural diplomacy by making a contribution to the cooperation between our countries. Our members, who visit all corners of the world to trade by carrying the ancient cultural codes of Anatolia, work by acting as a diplomat in that sense. As business persons, we make effort to enrich and extend the peace-building capacity of Turkey. As MÜSİAD, we support the expressions and thesis that “The world is bigger than five” and “A fairer world is possible” as mentioned by the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on all occasions, and we work accordingly. It is never possible to achieve economic objectives without establishing regional and global peace. It is inevitable that the current international system that cannot generate justice will change. For this, we should work altogether and raise our voices. We have to be the voice of mercy and conscience in a world that has lost its mercy. Millions of people are victims, oppressed, migrants, or refugees in Palestine, Kashmir, Yemen, Syria, and Ukraine... Islamophobia that is a hate crime spreads to western countries like a pandemic... In short, humanity is in need of peace, justice, and mercy... Yes, a fairer world is possible as long as we want this more sincerely and make effort for this altogether...”

“We are a candidate for all possible new export markets from Europe to America, from Asia to Africa”

Emphasizing that Turkey is a candidate for all possible new export markets from Europe to America, from Asia to Africa with its competitive and quality production power, the Chairperson Asmalı said that they aimed to further strengthen the global trade network of Turkey through the 2nd Turkish-Arab Business Summit and MÜSİAD EXPO 2022.

During his speech, the Chairperson Asmalı added:

“Turkey progresses towards a much brighter future than today thanks to its competitive and quality production power, its technical infrastructure, and its skilled labor in different industries. We are a candidate for all possible new export markets from Europe to America, from Asia to Africa in order for our export to have a permanent increase, for us to reach the status of a country having foreign trade surplus, and for sustainable growth. There are 2 important international events ahead. The first one is the 2nd Turkish-Arab Business Summit to be hosted by MÜSİAD and to be held on 10-13 June in Gaziantep with the cooperation of the International Business Forum (IBF) and with the contributions of the Ministry of Commerce. The second one is MÜSİAD EXPO 2022 to be held on 2-5 November. We would be pleased to see you and the international companies at these two giant events where we feel the pulse of commerce and industry. Within the framework of all these events, we will further accelerate the process of putting into use the new investment projections. However, in order to not lose while winning, we will act with an understanding of protecting our civilization values and the nature and environment entrusted to us.”
