Speaking at the program, MUSIAD Chairman Mahmut Asmalı reminded that MUSIAD opened its first overseas branch in Munich, Germany in 1993, and said that Germany has historically been one of Turkey's most important trade partners.
President Asmalı stated the following in his statement:
"MUSIAD is advancing with a vision that produces value for the land it was born in under all conditions, prioritizes education and directs the economy in its region. We observe these values in our regional and commercial diplomacy activities, and we develop strategies to make Turkey a unique center of attraction both nationally and internationally. We realize 20 percent of Turkey's exports with more than 12 thousand 500 members and more than 60 thousand companies operating in different sectors. In line with this vision, we stand by our Turkish entrepreneurs, manufacturers and investors operating in Germany and Europe. We opened our first branch in the global arena in 1993 in Munich For this reason, it is very valuable for the MUSIAD Family to be operating in Germany. Germany is historically one of Turkey's most important trading partners… With ties dating back to the Turkish immigration to Germany in the 1960s, relations between countries are a classic one. went beyond the commercial relationship. As MUSIAD, we have undertaken important responsibilities to further our relations with Germany, which it has surpassed, and to increase the commercial presence of our Turkish citizens here."

Mentioning the importance of trade relations between the two countries in his statement, President Asmalı emphasized that MUSIAD members are working diligently to further strengthen the trade volume of Turkey and Germany.
President of MUSIAD continued his speech as follows:
"There are 4,700 Turkish non-governmental organizations among approximately 16 thousand associations in which immigrants play an active role in Germany. These associations bridge a great gap and offer the new generations in Germany the opportunity to socialize. We hope that they will do more coordinated and effective work in areas that concern the entire Turkish society in Germany, such as. We care about social harmony, conscious socialization and integration by preserving its own identity and values. Germany stands out as Turkey's first partner in exports and second in imports. Our bilateral trade volume, which was around 38 billion dollars in 2020, exceeded 41 billion dollars in 2021. The most important items in our exports to Germany are motor vehicles, motorcycles, boilers, machinery, knitted clothing, electrical machinery and devices, and woven clothing. Our projection for the new period is to increase the foreign trade volume to 50 billion dollars. to mix. Our innovative breakthroughs on topics that will shape the future such as renewable energy, combating climate change, green transformation, artificial intelligence and digitalization will accelerate our achievement of this goal."
