"Turkey is among the most important agricultural producers in the world with its fertile soil and climatic conditions. It is noteworthy that applications involving technology and innovation in the agriculture, food and livestock sectors are not used at the desired level. With domestic technologies to be developed taking into account the geographical-human-economic conditions specific to our country, We believe that we can reach a much more advanced position in the agricultural sector."

"We have to implement a conscious agricultural mobilization"

President Asmalı stated that well-equipped young people can be directed to agricultural production and said, "We have to implement conscious agricultural mobilization on a horizontal and vertical scale." President Asmalı continued his words as follows:

"We must not forget that Generations Y and Z will shape the future of agriculture. The secret of achieving a high level of success in this field lies in directing the young population to agriculture. We have to implement conscious agricultural mobilization on a horizontal and vertical scale. Because they are much more prone and well-founded to these technologies. The work is difficult and The valuable part is to produce local and national software. We have a generation that is extremely capable and equipped in this regard. As MUSIAD, we will continue to encourage our young people to develop domestic and national technologies, not only focused on the agricultural sector, but in every sector that will bring Turkey to a new age. "

It is aimed to support agricultural development through national and local women's initiatives.

Pointing to the importance of education in agricultural development, Chairman Asmalı also stated that by supporting women's initiatives nationally and locally, they can add strength to the sector. President Asmalı said that MUSIAD will explain the economic opportunities and strategic importance of agriculture with seminar programs to be held at high schools and universities:

Call for "Agricultural Market Regulatory Board" from MUSIAD

Pointing out that global warming, seeds, technology, population growth and regional conflicts cause negative consequences around the world, MUSIAD Food, Agriculture and Livestock Sector Board Chairman Cemal Özen announced the roadmap for a comprehensive transformation in agricultural development. Özen stated the following in his assessment:

"In the process we are in, global warming and regional conflicts have negatively affected our world. What the developments will bring in the agricultural context is not yet predictable. However, our country is in a position to turn this crisis into an opportunity with the right steps to be taken. Therefore, successful countries in agriculture, food and livestock in the world, We believe that we should analyze the developments in the field well. The studies and competencies of the research institutes affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture should be updated within this framework. A similar organization such as the Energy Market Regulatory Board should be established in the field of agriculture. In other words, the 'Agricultural Market Levelling Board' should be established.Establishment of the Prevention Board is essential. We express clearly that; Agricultural policies should not change in the short term and should be freed from politics. Laws on agricultural policies should be long-term. Farmers are supported in every country of the world, and we know that this support is sufficient in our country. However, support policies should be simplified and accessible, and most importantly, these supports should be given to the product instead of the land and should be shaped directly for the cost of the farmer.

"We must create human-centered strategies in all agricultural policies"

Cemal Özen, Chairman of MUSIAD Food, Agriculture and Livestock Sector Board, stated that a study should be implemented in which the production risks of farmers are minimized. Özen also stated that if the average age in agriculture is reduced with the developments in the field of education, there will be a direct impact on sustainable agricultural development. Özen continued his words as follows:

"Agriculture involves risk, uncertainty and is a difficult field. Considering the high costs, the farmer cannot take this risk and gives up production. Therefore, we must have policies that will minimize the farmer's production risk. The floor price should be announced at the planting stage so that the farmer can calculate its cost and profitability. Contract agriculture There is a need for legal regulations, especially on contract agriculture. There are human-centered strategies in all of MUSIAD's policies. We must create human-centered strategies in all policies of agriculture. Each of our agricultural engineers who have completed their education, who have difficulty in finding a job, should be given responsibility for 2-3 villages. We will raise awareness about how to produce more efficiently. The average age in agriculture is 55. Agriculture should be popularized among young people, especially young people engaged in agriculture should be called 'entrepreneurs'. Agricultural high schools should be established, and especially public and private foundations should be established. 2-3 agricultural universities should be opened as soon as possible."

"It is essential to encourage production in the village to break the negative cycle"

In his speech at the MUSIAD Agriculture Summit, MUSIAD Adana Branch President Burhan Kavak stated that the villages have become lonely with the migration movements, and that for this reason, village farming is also facing extinction. Kavak stated that it is essential to encourage production in the village in order to break the negative cycle. Kavak continued his assessment with the following words:

"One of the most effective ways to increase production in agriculture and animal husbandry is to prevent migration from the village to the city. Today, village farming is decreasing. While young people can earn more by raising plants or animals in their villages, they have to settle for minimum wage in the city. We think it is essential to encourage production in the village in order to break this negative cycle. In this context, we think that the state pays all or most of the Bağ-Kur premiums of individuals engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry in their villages, and a significant portion of the insurance premiums of those working in agricultural enterprises to be established in villages. "
