MUSIAD IBF 2nd Turkish-Arab Business Summit brought together nearly 1600 business people in Gaziantep. Investment and trade opportunities were discussed extensively at the B2B meetings, panel sessions, city promotions, trade fair and business meetings held within the scope of the program.

International Business Forum (IBF) 2nd Turkish-Arab Business Summit was held in Gaziantep. Regional investment opportunities and commercial developments were comprehensively discussed at the summit, which was held with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, under the coordination of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD), with the cooperation of Gaziantep Governorship, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Şahinbey Municipality, Şehitkamil Municipality and MUSIAD Gaziantep. While nearly 1600 business people from more than 30 countries met in the program, Iraqi Trade Minister Ala al-Juburi and a business delegation of 300 people attended the summit.

Speaking at the program, IBF President Erol Yarar pointed out that Turkey has made a development move in a very different dimension. In his speech, Yarar said, "At the moment, Turkey's exports have reached such a level that it will not be a country where the world has not gone." President Yarar also mentioned Turkey's richness in terms of energy resources and said, "The monetary value of Turkey's energy and thorium reserves is only 350 thousand tons. It is 80 trillion dollars. Turkey is above an energy mine."

President Yarar continued his words as follows:

"Turkey is making a development move on a very different scale. It is in great strides in both exports and employment. As MUSIAD, we have been following these developments closely for 32 years. However, it has gained such a great momentum in the last 20 years that it has reached a very large level in terms of the potential of our country. Turkey's exports have reached a level that the world will not go to. Total imports of 22 Arab countries are 1.2 trillion dollars. Turkey's exports to 22 Arab countries are only 25 billion dollars, 2% of this. Turkey does not have an energy deficit. We do not need oil either. We do not need natural gas. There is such a raw material that it is more valuable than oil and natural gas. Turkey has the most thorium reserves in the world. The finalized reserve is 350 thousand tons. Estimated reserve 800 thousand tons. The equivalent of one ton of thorium is 3.5 million tons of coal. 3 million tons of oil. Monetary equivalent of Turkey's energy and thorium reserves. I'm just saying for 350 thousand tons that have been finalized. 80 trillion dollars. Turkey is on an energy mine. In 10 years, green energy, such as thorium, which does not harm the environment, called green nuclear, is Turkey's more valuable mineral than gold, and Turkey is sitting on it. These reserves will strengthen Turkey's power. With the work to be done in 10 years, their monetary transformation will be very fast. Hydrogen, which is called the energy of the future, is the side output of this. Trust Turkey. Turkey is running. No obstacle will stand in the way of Turkey."
