MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmalı and the accompanying MUSIAD delegation held contacts in New Jersey and New York as part of the USA Business Travel. Making evaluations about the program, President Asmalı stated that they aim to lay the groundwork for initiatives that will accelerate the commercial relations between the two countries.

On the first day of the program, President Asmalı met with MUSIAD members and business people in the region in Paterson, New Jersey, and held consultations on business and trade life in the region. On the second day of the USA Business Travel Programme, the MUSIAD delegation, which continues its contacts in New York, visited the New York Consulate General of Türkiye in New York and the New York Chamber of Commerce, located in the New York Turkish House.

Meeting with Consul General Reyhan Özgür, MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmalı stated that they aim to lay the groundwork for initiatives that will accelerate Türkiye-USA trade relations. President Asmalı also stated that the eastern region of the USA offers a great opportunity with its logistical proximity to Türkiye.

Later, President Asmalı met with the President of the Chamber of Commerce Mark Jaffe.

While visiting the Turkish House after the meeting, MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmalı emphasized that the complex, which was opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in September 2021, made a significant contribution to the promotion of Türkiye with its commercial elements and cultural galleries.

MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmalı and accompanying MUSIAD delegation, who are in New York within the scope of their USA contacts, met with the Permanent Representative of the United Nations, Ambassador Feridun Sinirlioğlu. During the meeting, the vision of diplomatic relations and commercial diplomacy activities were discussed, as well as the organizational studies carried out by MUSIAD on a global scale.

During the meeting, where Ambassador Sinirlioğlu conveyed our country's efforts towards the UN General Assembly and global developments, the issues regarding the future of international trade in the light of global developments were discussed, emphasizing the importance of MUSIAD's multi-layered organizational activities and trade diplomacy.

MUSIAD delegation visited USA Maarif School

MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmalı and the accompanying MUSIAD delegation continued their intense commercial and diplomatic contacts with a visit to the USA Maarif School in New Jersey. Meeting with the Director of Maarif Foundation Ahmet Celal Özdemir, the Chairman of MUSIAD exchanged ideas on projects and studies in the field of education.

President Asmalı met with the students after the meetings held at the USA Maarif School. President Asmalı chatted with the students and then played basketball and volleyball with the young people studying at the school.
