President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Astana within the framework of the Kazakhstan Business Programme, met with Yılmaz Kesen, Head of MUSIAD Kazakhstan Representation. During the meeting, MUSIAD Kazakhstan President Kesen shared information with President Erdoğan about MUSIAD Kazakhstan activities.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the 4th Meeting of the Türkiye-Kazakhstan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council and the 6th Summit of the Conference on Cooperation and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
In addition to the Council meeting, President Erdoğan also met with the MUSIAD delegation operating in the country, despite the busy schedule of the CICA summit, where regional issues in Asia were on the agenda and attended by the leaders of many countries, and got information about the activities of the association.
Speaking about the program, MUSIAD Kazakhstan Chiarman Yılmaz Kesen emphasized that MUSIAD Kazakhstan will continue to work towards increasing and strengthening the brotherhood and commercial relations between the two brotherly countries.
In his speech, Chairman Kesen said:
"Since 2018, when we completed our official establishment as MUSIAD Kazakhstan, we have been working to realize the statements of our Presidents, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, that the trade volume between the two brotherly countries should be increased to 10 billion dollars. We signed a memorandum of understanding with the Almaty Chamber of Commerce. We have an effective cooperation with the Almaty Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. Our corporate projects continue with the Almaty Provincial Governorate. At the same time, the support provided by both MUSIAD Headquarters and the Turkish Republic Almaty Consulate General motivates us. In this context, we organized the 'Türkiye-Kazakhstan Business Forum' in Almaty with the support of our Consul General and Headquarters. and We will continue our efforts to further increase and strengthen commercial relations. In this respect, we informed our President about the activities of our association. Despite his busy work schedule, I would like to thank the members of the association and myself for their interest and attention."
