SAMEKS continued its increase in October.

In October 2022, the seasonal and calendar adjusted SAMEKS Composite Index increased by 0.7 points compared to the previous month and rose to 53.6.

In this period, the Service Sector SAMEKS Index increased by 0.9 points compared to the previous month and reached 51.9 points, maintaining its positive outlook. The rising trend of the Industrial Sector SAMEKS Index, which increased by 0.8 points compared to the previous month and reached the level of 57.8, continued in this period as well.

While the continued strong course of input purchases was effective in the increase observed in the service sector, new orders and the lively appearance of input purchases in the industrial sector supported the increase in production.

As a result of these developments, the seasonal and calendar adjusted SAMEKS Composite Index, which increased by 0.7 points compared to the previous month and reached 53.6, made a positive start to the fourth quarter of the year and pointed out that the vigor in economic activity continued in October.
