The signing ceremony of TOMTAŞ Aviation and Technology Joint Stock Company, which will be established with the cooperation and joint investment of MUSIAD Kayseri, Turkish Aerospace Industry, ASFAT, TOMTAŞ Investment and Erciyes Technopark, was held in Kayseri with the presence of Hulusi Akar, Minister of National Defense.

With the high visions of Hulusi Akar, Minister of National Defense, the support of our state, and the heart and cooperation of stakeholder institutions, the mission of the first aircraft factory established in Kayseri in the history of the Republic of Turkey comes to life again. Minister of National Defense Hulisi Akar, TUSAŞ General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil, deputies, provincial protocol and MUSIAD Kayseri members participated.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of National Defense Akar; “This investment, which will be the pride of our country and Kayseri, will continue its activities in the defense and aerospace industry with the experience coming from the history of Kayseri, and will make a great contribution to achieving our domestic and national defense industry targets.”

Stating that the developments in the world will affect our country positively or negatively, Akar talked about the projects and developments that are successfully carried out in the aviation and defense industry in order to reach the level of prosperous civilization and for our internal security.

Mr. Ferhat Akmermer, who is a stakeholder of TOMTAŞ Investment company and who is also the President of MUSIAD Kayseri, said, "Our country, which develops the technologies that the world talks about with domestic means, will undertake works that will set an example to the world with new generation technologies for the defense industry."
