In this period, the Service Sector SAMEKS Index increased by 0.6 points compared to the previous month and rose to 54.3. The Industrial Sector SAMEKS Index, on the other hand, continued to increase with 58.8 points, although it lost 2.4 points.
While the developments made by SAMEKS for both the industry and the service sector show that the economic activity continues; The acceleration of production in the industrial sector and the continuation of the increase in employment, the contraction in the business volume in the service sector and the decrease in employment compared to the previous month drew attention.
Thus, leaving behind the first quarter of the year with an average of 51.9 points, the seasonal and calendar adjusted SAMEKS Composite Index, which indicates that the positive growth process continues in the Turkish economy, increased its momentum in the second quarter and signaled that the growth gained momentum with an average of 56.0 points for this period.
