GREEN ECONOMY WORKING GROUP HELD ITS FIRST MEETING

MÜSİAD Green Economy Working Group was established under the chairmanship of MÜSİAD Sector Boards and Fair Forum Commission. Within the scope of the EU's current emission reduction plan, the working group, based on the Green Deal Action Plan regarding the target of reducing emissions by 55 percent by 2030, will provide consultancy to exporting MÜSİAD members on issues such as information and transformation.

The Green Economy Working Group, established under the umbrella of MÜSİAD, held its first meeting in order to inform, guide and prepare the members regarding the Green Agreement Action Plan study, in which MÜSİAD members who export to the EU will be directly affected by new incentive and taxation practices.

The working group, which held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Altuğ Karataş, Deputy Chairman of the Sector Boards and Fair Forum Commission, and İsmail Hakkı Karaca, Chairman of the Energy and Environment Sector Board, started its work to create a planning and organizational structure compatible with the Green Deal, which will be implemented as of 2025.

In the working group, which includes one representative from each of the 16 sectors in the Sector Boards unit, the possible effects of the Green Deal on each sector will be investigated and a road map will be drawn with precautions, precautions and opportunities in this sense. In addition, it is aimed to ensure the participation of MÜSİAD in international events by carrying out various events, information and awareness activities.
