CHEMICAL, METAL AND MINING SECTOR BOARD EXPERIENCE SHARING MEETING

The Experience Sharing Meeting held at MÜSİAD Headquarters was attended by our President Mahmut Asmalı, Hasan Büyükdede, Chairman of the Chemistry, Metal and Mining Sector Board Muhittin Can and the management.
 

Industry representatives once again understood the importance of sharing experience and wanted such meetings to continue to develop future collaborations. During the meeting, personnel shortage, an important problem of the Industrial Sector, was also brought to the agenda. Participants emphasized the difficulty of supplying qualified workforce and the need to protect talented employees. Hasan Büyükdede announced that the search for a solution to this problem is supported by the government and new programs have been developed in the field of vocational training. Sector representatives stated that competition in the labor market has increased and new strategies are needed to attract and retain talented employees. They agreed on the need for closer cooperation between employers, educational institutions and government authorities.

HASAN BÜYÜKDEDE BROUGHT THE REMOVE OF INDUSTRIALIZATION IN ISTANBUL DUE TO THE EARTHQUAKE.

In his speech, he emphasized the need to move and transport industrialization in Istanbul, taking into account earthquake risks. Büyükdede stated that Istanbul is located in the earthquake zone and therefore the possibility of a major earthquake always exists. In this context, he stated that industrial facilities should be reviewed in terms of earthquake safety and moved when necessary. He also emphasized that by relocating industrial facilities, they can be rebuilt in a more environmentally sensitive and safe manner, thus minimizing post-earthquake damage.
